What are the benefits of the Pre-Owned Program?
  • With the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle, your customers may enjoy one of two great ways to experience SiriusXM:
    • Vehicles with SiriusXM receive a 3-Month Platinum Plan trial subscription including 165+ channels of our best programming in the car. Plus, 3-months of streaming on the SXM App or online — Over an $80 value.
    • Vehicles without SiriusXM will receive a 3-month trial subscription on the SXM App with 350+ channels — Over a $32 value. Exclusions apply. See Launch DMS.
  • Once active in the program, use the Dealer App to pre-activate vehicles with satellite radios so you can demonstrate SiriusXM during test drives.
  • No Dealer effort required to activate the streaming trial for non-equipped vehicles, SiriusXM will contact your elifible customers a few days after their purchase via email or a letter with information on how to access their trial on the SXM App.
  • Free SiriusXM Brochures and other marketing materials are available for your dealership and can be ordered at siriusxmestore.com/dealer
  • The program is offered at no cost to your dealership — the trial subscription automatically shuts off at the end of the 3 months. No credit card required for your customers.
Which DMS are included in the launch of the SXM App trial for Pre-Owned Vehicles without SiriusXM installed?

Franchise Dealers and Dealers using these Launch DMS are included in the Pre-Owned Program Upgrade which gives trial subscriptions of the SXM App to customers who purchase vehicles without SXM Installed. See Launch DMS.

How do I join the Program?

Complete the SiriusXM Pre-Owned Program online enrollment form authorizing your Preferred Data Source Provider to securely transmit the VIN and Customer Contact information to SiriusXM. If you have questions about this program or need help with enrollment, please contact your Regional Manager or send us an email at: SXMDealerPrograms@siriusxm.com.

Who is sponsoring this Program?

SiriusXM will deliver the benefits of this Program at no cost to Dealers. Customers are not required to provide a credit card number.

What is the process after my dealership is enrolled?

We’ll get your dealership set up to send data from your DMS to SiriusXM. You may receive a call or an email to authorize this program to complete your dealership's activation. Upon the receipt of the inventory record, use the Dealer App to pre-activate radios so you can demonstrate SiriusXM during test drives. Upon the receipt of the vehicle sold information (VIN and the Customer Contact information), we will start their 3-Month Trial Subscription.

Don't forget to tell both your SiriusXM-equipped and non-equipped customers that they'll receive a 3-month trial subscription to the SXM App that they can stream on their smartphone and on connected devices. Customers purchasing vehicles without SiriusXM installed can stream SiriusXM in their pre-owned vehicle via Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or directly through the vehicle's speakers.

How do I know my customer information is safe and treated appropriately by SiriusXM?

SiriusXM understands the importance of data confidentiality and security. We follow industry standards for data protection to ensure all customer information is secure. This is the same data security process and privacy policy that is applied to shared customer information from new and Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales.

How can I confirm that my enrollment is completed?

To inquire about the activation status of your dealership please contact your DMS providers. If you use CDK Data Services Inc., call 1-855-587-6062. If you use Reynolds, call Reynolds at 1-800-767-0080. For other enrollment or activation questions, contact SiriusXM Program Headquarters via email at: SXMDealerPrograms@siriusxm.com or call Program Headquarters 1-844-832-8643.

When will my customers start getting their 3-Month trial subscription with purchase?

You will receive a Welcome Kit within 7-10 days from when your enrollment is complete and you can tell your customers about their 3-Month SiriusXM trial subscription with purchase from your Dealership. Your Welcome Kit will include point-of-sale materials to display in your dealership that will inform your customers of their trial benefit.

How do I pre-activate SiriusXM radios for my customers?

We recommend pre-activating radios on SiriusXM-equipped vehicles by using the Dealer App prior to customer delivery so they drive off the lot listening to their SiriusXM trial subscription. By pre-activating a radio, you can demonstrate SiriusXM during test drives.

Can I give 3-Month trial subscriptions to customers who purchased a vehicle prior to participating in the Pre-Owned Program?

As an added benefit of the Program, customers purchasing satellite-equipped vehicles, dating back to 30 days prior to enrollment, may be eligible to receive the 3-Month Platinum Plan trial subscription from SiriusXM, depending on DMS type. These customers will receive a 3-month Streaming Platinum trial subscription from SiriusXM.

Will all Pre-Owned vehicles receive a 3-Month trial subscription?

Yes, your entire Pre-Owned inventory of factory-installed SiriusXM vehicles, regardless of manufacturer will receive a 3-month Platinum Plan trial subscription. Plus, customers purchasing pre-owned vehicles not equipped with SiriusXM may receive a 3-month Streaming Platinum trial subscription. (Exclusions apply. See Program Details for complete terms).

Please note: complete and accurate VIN and Customer Contact information is required for your customers to receive the Platinum Plan trial subscription and the Streaming Platinum trial subscription.

How will my customers buying non-equipped pre-owned cars get notified about their trial on the SXM App?

Eligible customers will receive an email or letter from SiriusXM within a few days of their vehicle purchase with instructions to activate the Streaming Platinum trial subscription. Once they've set up their credentials and started their trial, they should download the SXM App (from the App Store or Google Play) to start streaming on connected devices and in their car via Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or directly through their vehicle's speakers.

If I'm unable to pre-activate a radio, who should I contact?

If your dealership encounters radio activation issues, please know that our SiriusXM Dealer Support Agents are available to help. If a radio does not activate after using the Improved SiriusXM Dealer App, please contact SiriusXM Dealer Support at 1-800-852-9696, and they will be happy to assist.

How will SiriusXM know which vehicles and customers are eligible for a SiriusXM trial subscription after a Service visit?

Vehicles must be SiriusXM-equipped and be determined eligible by SiriusXM to receive the Platinum Plan trial subscription. SiriusXM may give trial subscriptions to the SiriusXM Streaming Platinum Plan (or other SiriusXM packages) to eligible customers with non-equipped vehicles or other ineligible vehicles (email required to receive offer). Ineligible customers include those with active or recently active SiriusXM subscriptions or trials.

How do I know my customer information is safe and treated appropriately by SiriusXM?

This is the same data security process and privacy policy that is applied to shared customer information from new and pre-owned vehicle sales.

What happens after we enroll our dealership?
  1. We’ll get your dealership set up to send service records. You may receive a call or an email to authorize this program to complete your dealership’s activation
  2. We’ll send you an email to let you know that your dealership is active
  3. We will notify the eligible customers of their trial subscription
What is my dealership’s role in the Program?

Once your dealership has started in the program, nothing else is required from your dealership. SiriusXM will notify the eligible customers that they have received the trial subscription and SiriusXM will manage the trial-activation process.

When can customers expect to receive their SiriusXM trial subscription?

Within a few weeks following a Service visit to your dealership.

What if I have a customer that wants to opt-out of future communications from SiriusXM?

Customers may simply opt-out of future SiriusXM communications via the same process for new or pre-owned vehicle purchases, by calling SiriusXM Customer Care at 1-877-447-0011, or by going online at siriusxm.com/contactus and following the instructions. In addition, you may elect not to send customer information to SiriusXM for any customer that is not interested in a trial subscription. Your customers will not be notified of their Service Lane trial subscription by telephone.

What Happens After I Enroll?

After qualifying for Dealership Beats, you will receive a program Welcome Email with instructions on how to retrieve your credentials to stream Music for Business for your Showroom for FREE. Special $49 offer for SiriusXM Grace Player is available for participating Dealerships. A unique promo code and shop link is provided in the program Welcome Email. The SiriusXM Grace Player will need an active internet signal; for best results, have it connected to ethernet and also connect it to your Dealership's overhead audio system.
